A Request for Generous Donations:

It is to bring to kind notice and information to all

That the Sir Sunderlal Hospital at Banaras Hindu University is poised for rapid development and to become a super specialty hospital with modern amenities in Eastern India.
That the University has decided to develop The South Campus at Barkachha as a modern University by extending an opportunity of engaging people in life-long learning benefiting from the results of research .
These efforts, supported by public and private resources are to be conducted in an atmosphere of open enquiry and academic freedom.
That the proposed project of south campus will open new vistas for Human Resource Development with employment linked security aspects.
That the South Campus is to be developed as a potential hub for education, training and entrepreneurship development for youth and women, especially those belonging marginalized areas.
That a Knowledge Centre, Technology Incubation Centre, etc is proposed for the up-liftment of the people in the areas and proposals for funding have been submitted to Govt of India.
That the proposed campus needs construction of academic buildings, students hostel, administrative block, Bank, Post office, Health center etc.
That the campus urgently needs development in the areas of Electric and Water Supply including water lifting form the river.

A well thought plan and a detailed scientific proposal in the form of Vision Document have been developed and the total developmental cost is Rs. 410.00 Crores. Unfortunately, BHU is not in a position to shoulder this financial investment, hence this appeal is put forward to all the Alumni of the Banaras Hindu University and Philanthropists in general, to come forward and extend financial help in this noble cause of developing this institution; a dream of the great visionary Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviyaji.

You are, hereby requested to donate generously for the development of Sir Sunderlal Hospital and the South Campus, Barkachha, Mirzapur.

DONATIONS SHOULD BE IN THE FORM OF CHEQUE/DEMAND DRAFT IN THE NAME OF REGISTRAR, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY.

The names of the donors shall be suitably acknowledged.

All contribution to Banaras Hindu University are exempted from the Income Tax under Section 80 G (2) (a) (iii) of the Income Tax Act vide notification No. DGIT (E) /93-94/3354.

Donations made to BHU for Scientific Research are exempted under Section 35(1) (ii) of the Income Tax Act vide notification No.193/2005 (F.No.203/58/2004-IT-A-II) dated 18^th August, 2005
