Indian Aging Congress - 2010

A joint VIIIth Annual Conference of Indian Academy of Geriatrics and XV Biennial Conference of Association of Gerontology, India is being organized as INDIAN AGING CONGRESS- 2010 at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi ( India ) on 12th, 13th and 14th November, 2010.

Abstract submission


(Last date for submission of abstract: 15th august 2010)

Abstract submitted before 15th august, 2010 only will be published in journal of IAG

All abstract must be submitted by email/ post to congress secretariat. Please read the instruction carefully, as abstract not submitted accordingly to these instruction will not be accepted.

Structure of Abstracts:

Abstract should comprise of the following elements, with each beginning a new paragraph:

  •  Title:  The abstract title should be all capitals.

  • Authors:  Authors` name should be in the surname first format and Institutional affiliations should be indicated.

  • Affiliation:  All affiliation should contain institution and city.

  • Abstract text:  The text must be arranged according to the following headlines:

  •   Introduction

  • Method

  •   Result

  • Conclusion

Abstract must be written in English language with 12 fonts, 1.5 line spaces, no space between paragraphs and in Times New Roman font using Microsoft word; the abstract shall not exceed 200 words.

  • Instruction for ORAL presentation:

  • This is an 8 minutes presentation with 2 minutes for questions from the audience.   Instruction for POSTER presentation:

The poster should have a clear heading which includes the title and name of authors. The font size should be large enough to be read from a distance of 5 feet. Poster boards measuring 3 feet (wide) and 4 feet (high) will be provided.

Submission and notification-

1.      Presenting author MUST be registered delegates and be responsible for presentation, travel and accommodation expenses for consideration of abstract.

2.      All abstracts submitted will be acknowledged through e-mail upon receipt. Please contact the Conference Secretariat if you do not receive the acknowledgement e-mail.

3.      The allocation of ORAL or POSTER presentation will be final and binding.

4.      The judge decisions will be final.

5.      Papers selected for ``Best Paper Award Session`` will be informed by e-mail.

6.      There will be 3 oral and 3 poster presentation awards under IAG.

7.      There will be 3 oral presentation awards under AGI (Biology, Psychosocial and Medical).
