Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Social Entrepreneur of the 20th Century.

|
The Concept
Management institutions form a large reservoir of collective professional management wisdom, proven time and again through corporate success stories all over the world. Institutions have evolved a variety of programmes and initiatives to disseminate the management knowledge and skills which were widely accepted.
In addition, to take the management education to the next level, the Business Schools need to revisit and redefine the pedagogy to enhance the direct exposure of students to the real life situations. Presently the students are exposed to real life situations only through practical training and dissertation project which spans over about three-four months duration. The students must be able to see on their own how the modern management techniques are applied and interventions are made for achieving organization goals. They should get opportunity to sense the visible and invisible dynamics prevailing in the environment where the organization is functioning. In other words, we need to think of imparting management education in an environment beyond the class rooms, an environment where the students can actually apply the theory they are being taught directly to the real life situation and see the results.
The management institutions may think of establishing business clinic which could serve as a strong platform for enhancing the experiential learning curve of the students. This is an initiative to this effect.
