Summer School on Food Safety and Quality for Global Competitiveness of Traditional Foods of India

ICAR funded Summer School on Food Safety and Quality for Global Competitiveness of Traditional Foods of India was organized by the Centre from September 15-October 5, 2010 in which 18 participants from various SAUs and ICAR Institutes attended. Dr. Rakesh Tuli, Executive Director, National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, Mohali was the Chief Guest on the Inaugural Function and Dr. Kusumakar Sharma, ADG (HRD), ICAR was the Guest of Honour. Dr. P. I. Suvrathan, Chairman, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India was the Chief Guest on the Valedictory Function of the Summer School and Prof. D. P. Singh, BHU Vice Chancellor presided over the function.
