Clinical Services:

Pediatric OPD Services: Experiencing huge rush of patients and their attendants, a new OPD complex has been constructed behind the main Children Hospital Building. The OPD runs all the days except Sundays and eight listed holidays (Republic Day, Vasant Panchami, Holi, Independence Day, Dussehra, Birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, Diwali, Christmas day). On an average 100 patients are seen everyday.

Immunization clinic:

Runs six days in a week in Immunization building situated adjacent to the Wound Clinic. The children are vaccinated free of cost as a part of National Immunization Programme. However, the vaccines which are not covered under the programme, are to be procured from the market by the recipient. The schedule of vaccination is mentioned below.

Indoor Patient Services:

The general pediatric wards consisting of 40 beds are fully air-conditioned and equipped with life saving equipments. The bed occupancy is more than 100 per cent. The wards have facilities of bedside oxygen, compressed air and suction.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU):

The NICU is situated in a separate building adjacent to main Hospital. It is having 20 beds and is air-conditioned. Both inborn and outborn neonates are admitted in NICU. The unit has the facilities of Ventilator, Ultrasonography Machine & Portable X-ray machine, vital sign monitors, syringe pumps etc. It provides State of art level III care to sick newborns.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU):

The unit is situated in the Children Hospital Building having six-beds which is fully air-conditioned. PICU service is provided to very sick patients round the clock. It has Ventilators, Patient Care Monitors, Infusion Pumps, bed side oxygen, suction and compressed air facilities.

Pediatric Emergency Unit (PEU):

Six bedded unit situated in the Children Hospital and provides round the clock services to patients brought in the emergency. It is equipped with Patient Care Monitors, Pulse Oximeter, Infusion Pumps, Defibrillator, ECG machine, Portable X-ray machine.

Other services:

Department renders its peripheral health check-up services in rural areas and schools on request. Faculties participate to deliver lectures for public awareness programmes, TV & radio talks etc.
