Laboratory

The department has two dedicated Microcomputer Laboratories with 60 Nos. of Pentium4 Nodes each, which are peer to peer networked. The MCA program is supported by university's Computer Centre with a dedicated 30 P4 node laboratory connected to Computer Centre's main network for rich computing support. In addition to Software Computing laboratories students also get hands on training in Digital Design and Assembly programming through a well equipped Hardware & Digital Design Laboratory. Recently a new high performance failover cluster machine has been installed.

Students are primarily trained on Windows/ UNIX/ LINUX platforms in Programming Techniques using C/C++/JAVA. They are also given a hands on training on various mathematical, word processing & database packages. All the students of the department also have access to B.H.U Computer Centre's main computing facility, where they can work on different platforms and use different programming languages & packages like Oracle, IBM DB2, JAVA, Mathematica, Visual Studio, Fortran etc.

Internet Access Facility

The Internet access facility is provided through different  high speed dedicated leased lines from BSNL, Reliance. 

Library

There is a dedicated Library with a  good number of titles in Computer Science & Application and allied areas. The Library also subscribes to various magazines & Journals of interest like IEEE Spectrum, Information Technology, Linux For You, Electronics For You etc.

In addition to the departmental library, the students have access to BHU's Central Library, which houses a large no. of Books, Bound volumes, Manuscripts, UN & Government publications besides subscription to a large number of print & electronic subscriptions of various international journals, magazines and portals like ACM, IEEE, Elsevier Science Direct, Springer Verlag, Scientific American, Nature etc.
