Brief writeup on area of specialization/awards/achievements:
 

Our research areas are optical properties of rare earth doped materials. Specially, we prepare rare earth doped phosphors, polymers, quantum dot, glasses, etc. We study the structural and optical properties of prepared samples. The XRD, SEM and TEM are characterised for structural analysis. However, the UV-Vis-NIR absorption, FTIR, fluorescence, Upconversion, excited states lifetime, etc are measured for optical analysis. The rare earth doped materials are applicable in CFL, LED, temperature sensor, display devices, lasers, bi-imaging, enhancing the efficiency of solar cell, etc. We prepare bulk and nano-particles both. The properties of nano particles are quite different from their bulk form.
